Sustainability assessments have found their way into a wide range of companies in the energy industry since the new CSRD Directive. The reporting obligation not only provides information on the sustainability of companies, but also assigns them to certain criteria that are groundbreaking for investment decisions. How can the comprehensive reporting obligation be met in the future through targeted ESG management so that capital availability is ensured in the long term? This lecture block deals with these questions and also provides information on how CSRD materiality analyses can be implemented in practice at municipal utilities and municipal energy suppliers.
