The energy system is facing challenges due to the increasing volatility of generation and consumption. More and more consumers are being integrated into the system as prosumers and need to be connected. Energy volumes must also be harmonized between feed-in and consumption in order to prevent surpluses or shortages. 



In this panel, we will therefore be looking for possible solutions. The tension between innovations and conventional power plants will be examined. The power plant strategy, which creates new capacities and thus flexibility potential, will also be part of the discussion. Does the current power plant strategy help to meet the requirements of the market and how could it affect energy prices? Another important topic is energy storage. We will discuss the revenue potential for storage systems in various markets and how their flexibility potential can be assessed.
