On Your Marks, Get Set, Go: How Is Germany Doing in the Race To Produce Hydrogen?

A successful marathon requires several months of intensive preparation, stamina and a regular supply of energy, and the same is true of the hydrogen run-up. Germany has been preparing for this competition for some time, with the aim of building around ten gigawatts of electrolysis capacity by 2030 and gradually constructing a hydrogen core network with a total length of 9,040 kilometres by 2032. The question remains as to whether Germany will make it to the finish line. In this episode of the Young Energy Podcast, we will be examining the past year and discussing the potential for domestic hydrogen production to contribute to Germany's business landscape. Our guests, Maren Preuß (Atmen) and Dr. Aljoscha Frede (H2UB), will be leading this discussion, which will also address the role of innovation in this field. Lisa Bösch and Marlen Sunnyi Bohne will be hosting the episode.
