The Role of Battery Storage in the Energy Transition: Key to Grid Stability and Flexibility
The success of the energy transition is often associated with the expansion of wind and solar energy production. However, today's key factor is a resilient electrical grid infrastructure. Its resilience can be achieved through the targeted use of battery energy storage systems (BESS). Next to their application in the energy markets and TSO-markets for balancing services, BESS are well suited for providing system and grid services, such as inertia, reactive power, and balancing energy, or for relieving congested parts of the electrical grid.
As a key technology for the energy transition, clear frameworks are needed to ensure their efficient expansion. This webinar offers a perspective on how the deployment of BESS can be utilized for today's and future needs of the electric grid and the energy system.

Kyon Energy designs and operates grid-connected battery storage systems. Through innovative business models and future-oriented application scenarios, these stabilize the power grid and enable a clean, sustainable and socially responsible energy supply with renewable energies. Kyon Energy is therefore an active driver of the energy transition.
This event will be held in English.
This webinar is part of the series “Why Energy Storage is Key: Insights into a Moving Market”. The focus is on battery storage systems and the associated market development. As introduction, the focus will be on the potential of energy storage systems and how they can be integrated into the grid. Afterwards, the potential of bidirectional charging as a storage solution will be examined critically. In a further webinar, you will receive tips on how to optimally prepare your battery storage project in order to obtain financing from banks. The last event will shed light on the development of the BESS market in Great Britain.
