The energy transition is a mammoth task and it can only succeed through cooperation. There is great potential in cooperation between municipalities and SMEs - if both players sit down at the same table.   



Around 70% of European climate legislation must be implemented directly or indirectly in municipalities and municipal utilities - from heat planning and digitalization to the expansion of renewables. The transformation is also hitting SMEs with full force: increasing demands on energy efficiency, energy costs and the switch to the most sustainable energy sources possible. At the same time, SMEs have regional roots. These are actually the best prerequisites for tackling the tasks ahead together. How great is the potential for cooperation between the two groups of players? How can both sides join forces? And what framework conditions are needed for successful cooperation?



On the third day of the E-world Kick-off, a prominent panel will get to the bottom of these questions and bring together players from local authorities and industry to find practical ways of implementing the climate targets effectively and in partnership.
