VIK - Verband der Industriellen Energie- und Kraftwirtschaft e.V.The VIK has represented the interests of industrial and commercial energy users in Germany for over 70 years. It is a cross-sectoral trade association with member companies from very different industries, such as aluminum, chemicals, glass, paper, steel, technical gases, food industry and cement. The association represents around 80 percent of industrial electricity consumption and around 90 percent of utility-independent industrial energy use and around 90 percent of utility-independent electricity generation in Germany.
With its office in the heart of Berlin, the association represents the interests of its members vis-à-vis politicians, the public and the media. It stands ready as a partner for an open dialogue to achieve the climate targets and is part of the solution to actively shape the transformation of the industry. The VIK is committed to a free-market policy that preserves Germany as a business location.
