The labour market is currently characterised by a striking contradiction: companies are complaining about a shortage of skilled workers, whilst at the same time many highly qualified professionals and graduates are finding it difficult to secure a suitable job.

How does this add up? Where does this discrepancy between the shortage of skilled workers and the difficulties in finding a job come from? What structural challenges lie behind it, and what needs to change so that companies and talented individuals can better connect with one another?

We would like to examine these questions from different perspectives and discuss them together with those affected and experts.

The event marks the digital launch of the E-world Career Day, which will take place on 18 February 2027 as part of E-world energy & water, and opens up a dialogue on the challenges and opportunities of a changing labour market.
