Grid Connection & Certificates: How Project Developers, Certifiers, and Grid Operators Are Bridging Their Communication Gap

Project developers, certifiers, and grid operators struggle with unclear requirements, missing documentation, and poor data quality in the grid connection approval process because each party pursues different objectives. Insufficient communication and an overabundance of communication channels lead to high coordination costs and wasted time. A live survey identifies stumbling blocks, which are then discussed by the panelists from all three roles. We discuss the impact of current communication patterns on the approval process and potential solutions to this problem.
